Body Awaereness

Massage brings awareness into the body. Sometimes a client may not even know they are restricted, or tight in an area until it is worked on. Latent trigger points can be found in areas that you are not aware of, so a whole body treatment is recommended. The relaxation process is a "defrag" and "reboot" time for the whole body, mind and spirit. The rejuvenation that comes from having bodywork, will have you saying "why didn't I do this sooner?"
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine!!

Core Fitness

Core Fitness Training is important for all, but especially important for riders. That is why I love training with Kettlebells. When riding and learning to have an independant seat, a strong core is essential. Learning core awareness and how each muscle group works to move the body and/or stabalize the body helps the rider to be more effective and effcient. A good way to learn this body awareness off the horse is with kettlebell training, yoga and pilates. The joint mobility exercises also help people to learn the limits of their body and increase the fluidity of movement as well as body awareness.

How to avoid tearing hands in KB Snatch

Warm Up (Joint Mobility) Before Workout - CARDIO MACHINE - Kettlebell Ca...

IKFF Joint Mobility Warm-up Phase 1-Part

BALANCE

There are many terrific foods to get your electrolytes rebalanced, pre and post workout, like bananas, most fruits, celery, and one of my favorites, Coconut water!
When training heavy I go for a product called VEGA SPORT. Created by Brendon Brazier, a professional tri-athelete who also happens to be vegan, it is one of my favorite supplements for recovery. The product line also has a protein shake that is not produced from whey protein. He uses hemp, sweet pea protein, rice and alfalfa.
You can find this product on line by clicking vega sport, above. Or, you can buy it at the Dover Natural Market Place in Dover NH or the Herbal Path in Dover NH.
Enjoy and while listening to your body as you warm up for a workout or work, pay extra attention to those areas that are clunking or not stretching. Get limber and mobilize those joints. A good warm up and cool down will keep you in the game. Then once you are properly tuned in and warmed up you can Go Hard OR Go Home!! (With Love Of Course) All my exclamations and little pushes are intended to inspire and motivate anyone to their own personal best and get them to the next level in their own development. Even if it just to stay focused on dieting, or to do two more pull ups than they did two days a go. So go have some fun!! and have a Great Day!

Agility Seminar

Happy Valentines Day!!
The agility seminar I attended on Friday night with Ken Blackburn was awesome! As I said in my last post. Joint Mobility is soooo important, and that is exactly what Ken impressed upon on so much in the seminar. Cool down is just as important as warm ups. so do those mobilizing exercises and your flexibility will improve. and get moving!!
Enjoy the video too!
